Every Christmas theatregoers head to the capital to discover the family-offerings and kids’ shows, with great results. Audiences flock to shows like The Snowman (returning to the Peacock Theatre in 2018) and Disney On Ice (heading to Arenas nationwide) and they keep on coming back for more.
In 2018 they will also have another option, however, as a hit CBBC show makes its UK stage debut, bringing some familiar faces to the Apollo Theatre. That show is Operation Ouch! the children’s show that takes a playful and educational look at biology, starring Dr Chris and Dr Xand.
The two doctors makes their way to the West End for this stage production that plays during the Christmas and New Year season, offering a tantalising journey though bodily functions, their purposes, curiosities and insides, resulting in a memorable and educational time at the theatre.
Operation Ouch has been a part of CBBC for many years now, first emerging in 2012 and making Dr Chris and Dr Xand van Tulleken into favourites of youngsters around the country. With their wildly imaginative ways of exploring science it is now wonder and now they will have the opportunity to bring to their fans in person, live at the Apollo Theatre!
