The legacy left by The Beatles never diminishes and this is proven once again with the return of Let It Be to its recent home of the Garrick Theatre, from 2015. The production is described as a theatrical concert and will allow audiences to experience many of the hit songs of the famous Liverpudlians. As such, fans of the legendary 60s foursome will be right at home in the capital and considering the popularity of The Beatles more than 40 years since they split, it should be a big hit.

Let It Be takes audiences back in time to the gigs of the Beatles throughout the 1960s, from their Liverpool days to their performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, before progressing through many of their other hit shows, allowing those with theatre tickets the opportunity to experience their rise to the top of their game. It means that along the way they will also be able to take in live performances of their hits songs, from early classics like I Saw Her Standing There, Twist And Shout and Yesterday to later hits such as Strawberry Fields and A Day In The Life. On top of this, of course, a production called Let It Be would not be complete without an appearance from this signature hit.

The Beatles need no introduction as they are remembered as one of the most popular and highly regarded music acts of all time. Throughout the 1960s John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr performed around the world and released hit after hit song and spread Beatlemania far and wide. Their first album was 1963’s Please Please Me and they would go on to follow this up with the likes of With The Beatles in 1963, Help! in 1965, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967 and Yellow Submarine in 1969, among others, cementing them as the greatest rock band of all time.

This isn’t the first time recently that The Beatles have been featured in the West End, with Backbeat previously completing a run at the Duke of York’s Theatre. The capital is also the home to other jukebox musicals like Thriller Live and Jersey Boys, which celebrate Michael Jackson and Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, respectively.

Let It Be appears at its home of the Garrick Theatre from February 2015.
